Mature Driver Training Programs

Improve your driving skills, and if you're 55 or older, get a discount on your personal auto insurance. Defensive Driving Courses teach basic crash prevention techniques and have proven to reduce traffic violations and incidents. All courses are taught by experienced, professional traffic safety instructors, including current and former law enforcement. Courses consists of lecture, films and discussions. There is no behind-the-wheel driving.

Individuals, age 55 and older, who complete an initial 4-hour state-approved defensive driving course are eligible to receive a three-year discount on their personal auto insurance. This includes in-person classroom, online training, and live virtual Zoom classes. After you complete the course, you will receive a certificate of completion to give to your insurance company. A 4-hour refresher course is available to maintain eligibility for an auto insurance discount.
